Søw-Sé | Peter & Jessica O’Mahony
You know Peter O’Mahony as the Irish rugby captain or a pundit on Virgin TV, but Peter considers himself to be a gardener. His wife Jessica has a passion for interiors and design. Born from that lifelong love of gardening, sow-sé is built on passion, purpose, and patience. The name has meaning and is personal to Peter and Jessica. 'Sow' for planting. 'Sé' for the Irish word for six, a number that Peter wore throughout his rugby career.
If an online store is a garden, most agencies only focus on the flowers people see. Perfidious Albert was brought in to execute the heavy engineering: the structural earthworks, the foundations, the drainage, and the irrigation systems required for the garden to survive surges in traffic, seasonal spikes, and high-volume order processing.
As well as building the website and working with the design agency to make it look beautiful, we did the following technical work on this site…
- Financial Compliance: Automated VAT configurations and Shopify Markets mapping for international retail.
- Logistics & Inventory: Multi-location inventory priority routing and custom weight-based shipping matrix logic.
- Data Architecture: Deep backend engineering utilising custom Metafields and Metaobjects to map intricate product variations.
- Retention Architecture: Integration of Klaviyo automated workflows, abandoned cart webhooks, and Google Analytics to track cash flow from day one.
- Performance & Security: Optimised Shopify theme and architecture to handle high-volume traffic surges and ensure PCI DSS compliance.
- Custom Integrations: Developed bespoke integrations with third-party services to enhance functionality and streamline operations.
For the final deployment and launch phase, we transitioned the project into a highly focused, direct-to-owner QA sprint. By working directly with Peter and Jessica, we removed bottlenecks, allowed for direct training, and aligned the store’s content and user experience with the owners' immediate commercial goals.
Following the website deployment, we undertook our structured Klaviyo rollout - implementing high-conversion email flows (Welcome, Abandoned Cart, Post-Purchase, etc) mapped directly to the new site architecture.
